Vintage Style Azilal Cushion Cover - Black Jazz

The Black Jazz cushion cover is woven in the traditional Azilal style. Black wool pile contrasts with spontaneous fragments of a free-form, cream line design. This vintage style cushion cover will add a playful element to a minimalist interior.  

Our cushions are hand-dyed and woven by Moroccan artisans in the Atlas Mountains. In ancient Azilal tribal tradition these weavings formed rugs hidden in the home away from guests, this freed the weaver from constraints, allowing them to create spontaneous designs documenting their lives, culture and environment during a time when they had no written language to preserve their stories.
