Is my cushion cover ethically made?

Our Moroccan cushion covers are made in partnership with local Moroccan artisans. Our relationship with these makers has been established through the British Moroccan Society, a charity which helps forge commercial partnerships to promote development and cultural exchange between Morocco and the United Kingdom.

What is my cushion cover made from?

Your cushion cover is made using, locally sourced, pure wool.

Is my cushion cover eco-friendly?

All our cushions are made from 100% wool which is a natural and sustainable resource. As a natural material wool is biodegradable; we hope your cushion will become a treasured heirloom for years to come but rest assured it will never become permanent landfill.

How should I clean my cushion cover?

Regularly vacuum the surface of the cushion to keep it dust free. Do so on a low suction setting to avoid damaging the delicate hand-made weave of the cushion.

What can I do to clean spills or marks?

If liquid is spilled on your cushion cover we recommend absorbing the liquid as quickly as possible using kitchen towel or an absorbent, dye-free cloth. Do not rub spills or apply water, fabric cleaners or bleach. If further cleaning is required take to a trusted dry cleaner.

How do I deter moths?

Moth breeding season in the UK is May - Oct so this is the time to be extra vigilant. Moths prefer dusty, food stained natural fibres and thrive in humid environments. Make sure you keep your home well ventilated to decrease humidity. Regularly vacuum the surface of your cushion and wipe with a damp cloth to keep the fabric clean. You may want to lightly spray the cushion with a shop-bought moth deterrent or make your own using water and a few drops of lavender essential oil. You could even place a small sachet of dried lavender inside, between the cushion and the cover.
