Raffia Bags Care Guide

Is my Moroccan Raffia bag ethically made?

Our Moroccan bags are hand-made by Moroccan artisan weavers; a partnership which we established through the British Moroccan Society, a charity which helps forge commercial partnerships to promote development and cultural exchange between Morocco and the United Kingdom.

What is my raffia bag made from?

Your hand-made bag is woven using locally grown palm leaves and sisal. Cotton, leather, shells and sequins are used for decorative detailing and functional elements such as edgings and handles.

Is my raffia bag eco-friendly?

All our bags are made from predominantly natural, environmentally friendly materials with small exceptions like sequin detailing. They can be used in place of less eco-friendly plastic bags or storage tubs.

What can I use my Moroccan Raffia bag for?

A Moroccan bag is the ultimate multitasking piece, the uses are endless. Here are just a few examples; shopping basket, beach bag, hammam towel holder, toy tidy, magazine holder, shoe tidy, blanket holder, plant-pot cover or log caddy.

What should I do if my raffia bag becomes misshapen?

Raffia bags can be reshaped while damp. Just follow these simple steps:

Spray your bag with water or wipe it down with a damp cloth.

Stuff the bag with white face-cloths or towels until you have created the desired shape.

Leave the bag to air dry away from direct heat.
